Those were the words Harry told me the night before.
It has been years of twisting and turning his rubber arm - and finally, he got himself a beautiful ADV bike!! The terrific Yamaha 660Z Ténéré, brand new out the box!! He received the delightful phone call quite late in the afternoon that his bike has arrived and is ready for collection. He managed to get his bike just before everyone locked up for the long weekend. Needless to say, Harry was as pleased as a man can be!! Once the bike was safely in his dining room, he gave me a call and we pulled in to congratulate and share in his joy. The long wait is over, reality surpassed the dreams and now we celebrate!!

Happy Harry (without the need of his dining table)
First light!! We leave at first light!! Early the next morning, I met him at the bottom of Phantom pass which will be the first gravel road for him and his new bike. What a beautiful morning. We drove to my house for a quick cup of coffee, then we carried on via the rest of the 6 remaining passes en route to George.

The beautiful mountains just outside De Rust.
We had a quick bite in De Rust and then we pushed on to Uniondale. From there we went back home via the Prince Alfred Pass after a quick stop at Angie's G-Spot.
We also paid a visit to Spitskop for an incredible view before taking the Kom-se-pad road to Gouna and Simola.
The famous rock warning on the Prince Alfred pass, due to the beautiful waterfalls to the right.

The KTM and I have opted for the firebreak 'exit' just for added fun.
After this little day trip, the Yamaha looks like a proper ADV bike now and the ice have been broken. Looking forward to many adventures with Harry!!
